The Chinese mould manufacturer, Jie Mei Precision Mould Ltd, is looking to boost its brand in Europe with the opening of a new sales office in the Stockholm area. The manufacturer, which has been supplying Swedish and European companies with moulds for more than a decade, plans to open its first Northern European office in Enköping, west of Stockholm.
Stockholm’s business community continues to buck the global trend, with growth continuing apace. According to the Stockholm economic report from the last quarter of 2011, more new companies than ever were set up in the Swedish capital, while at the same time unemployment dropped and wages swelled.
Sweden hopes to raise the bar of what is possible in life sciences even higher after building a brand new world-class research institute. The Sweden Science for Life Laboratory, SciLifeLab, will be opened in 2013 and act as a generator to boost research in molecular biosciences and bioinformatics, create new commercial products, and create jobs.
The popularity of video games like Stardoll, Battlefield and Minecraft has helped build Stockholm’s reputation as a world hub for computer game developers. Per Strömbäck, a spokesperson for the Sweden Games Industry, that is organizing the E3 trip, said online games like Stardoll and Minecraft and digital channels such as Facebook and App Store are increasingly dominating the gaming industry.

Total wages continued to increase during the fourth quarter but at a dampened rate. Once again, it is the private sector that is keeping growth up.

Det behövs både samarbete och finansiering för att lyckas. Det är därför Stockholm Cleantech har startat.
